For My final major project ‘There's No Place Like Home’ I’ve created a collection of woven fabrics for Spring Womenswear 2023. Taking inspiration from my trip to Jamaica with my Grandmother at the start of the year. I photographically documented Jamaica and its natural beauty, while simultaneously experiencing it all for the first time myself, from discovering new fruits to visiting the houses both my grandparents grew up in, creating a visual diary of the entire trip. Fundamentally, my aims were for the project to act auto-ethnographically by telling a story through my fabrics and capturing the essence of Jamaica.
